About Debra Pickrel
Principal of Pickrel Communications, Debra Pickrel is expert 
at leveraging powerful verbal and visual messaging to
fuel her clients' businesses through a range of interrelated services.

Pickrel established her consultancy in 2001 following a career in national magazine publishing, during which was associate publisher/marketing for two leading titles. She also served as director of communications and public relations at 
Rafael Viñoly Architects and as vice president of education 
on the Frank Lloyd Wright Building Conservancy's board 
of directors. 

An ​Associate American Institute of Architects NY member and Director of Programs of its marketing/communications committee, Pickrel received the Society of Marketing Professional Services NY's Outstanding Service Award. 
She supports the National Trust for Historic Preservation 
and Habitat for Humanity, among other organizations.

from Goucher College and a BA in journalism from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she served on the General Alumni Association board of directors. A long-time New Yorker, she is a native of Richmond, Virginia.
